Before the diamonds, before the cameras, before Drip With Diggs, there was a uniform. I served in the United States Military because I believed in discipline, in duty, in finishing what I started. That same discipline is what carried me into the most secretive, most gate-kept industry in the world: fine jewelry.
From Service to Stones
When I left the military, I knew two things. I loved my country, and I loved jewelry. Not just the way it looks, but the way it tells a story. A grandmother's ring. A first chain. A custom piece a man buys for himself the first time his work pays him real money. Jewelry is testimony, and I wanted to learn how to write that testimony with my own hands.
So I went to the GIA, the Gemological Institute of America, and earned my Graduate Gemologist diploma. The GG is the most respected credential in this industry, and it is the one most jewelers will never tell you they don't have. After that, I trained as a certified bench jeweler in NYC's Diamond District, where I cut, set, and finished pieces for some of the biggest names in hip-hop and the NFL.
Why I Built Drip With Diggs
For years I watched the culture get gatekept. I watched people walk into stores and get talked down to because they didn't know the 4 C's. I watched jewelers up-charge brothers and sisters who came in dressed a certain way. I watched people pay full retail on chains that were hollow.
Drip With Diggs is my answer to all of that. It's the show I wish existed when I started. GIA-level education, hip-hop culture, real Diamond District stories, all in one place. No gatekeeping.
