The NYPD is asking the public to help identify two suspects in a jewelry robbery outside 1130 Park Avenue on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.

According to the department’s Crime Stoppers notice, case 2026-019-7519, two men on black mopeds approached a 37-year-old man around 9:50 a.m. on October 31. Police say they punched him repeatedly and took his gold chain and bracelet before fleeing west on East 91st Street toward Central Park.

The department released an image of the pair as part of its identification request. East Side Feed reported that the suspects wore black clothing and face coverings. The photograph is a police-released image, not a mugshot or proof of a conviction.

For jewelry wearers, the incident is a reminder to stay aware of people approaching closely, particularly when movement around a sidewalk changes suddenly. A bike or moped does not itself make someone suspicious. The concern is threatening behavior and unwanted proximity.

The Long Beach Police Department’s public robbery guidance advises people not to resist or chase robbery suspects. Keep yourself safe first, then report what you observed. A stolen chain can be documented and investigated; a confrontation can put your life at risk.

Anyone with information about the Park Avenue case can contact NYPD Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or submit a tip through its official website. Call 911 for an immediate emergency.
