Victim stable, suspects fled

The man was taken to a hospital and was reported in stable condition. The suspects fled without taking any property, and no arrests were reported in the coverage by amNY, CBS New York and News 12.

The security takeaway

Visible jewelry can make a wearer a target in transit settings. Riders who wear valuable pieces can lower their exposure by keeping chains tucked away on platforms and trains, staying near other passengers or the conductor's car, and reporting anyone who follows them to station staff or police.
